Woman arrested for online trafficking in Agusan del Sur
BAYUGAN CITY, Philippines — A woman was arrested for operating a cybersex den in this city on Tuesday.
Avelina Jumamoy, 49, was caught in the act of offering children to online sex predators during a raid on her residence in Barangay Poblacion by police and Department of Social Welfare and Development personnel.
Police said two victims, one of them a minor, were rescued.
Brig. Gen. Gilberto DC Cruz, Caraga police director, said a computer, a cell phone, a tablet, a video camera, speaker; router, telephone, assorted sex gadgets and bank cards were recovered at the scene.
The suspect faces charges for violation of the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.
