Pregnant passenger goes into labor during flight

MANILA, Philippines -  A Cebu Pacific flight from Kuwait to Manila was diverted to India on Friday after a pregnant passenger went into labor. 

Upon landing in Kolkata, the budget carrier’s flight 5J 019 was met by an emergency medical team that would take the woman to a hospital.

The plane left Kolkata at 9:01 p.m., or 11 a.m. Manila time.

Airline personnel contacted the Philippine embassy in India for assistance.
