Cop gunned down in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A police officer was shot dead by three suspected drug traffickers in Dasmariñas City, Cavite on Monday night.

Police Officer 3 Andy Viadumang of the Imus police station died at the scene from several gunshot wounds, according to provincial police director Senior Superintendent Eliseo Cruz.

Viadumang was driving his Hyundai Tucson in Barangay Paliparan 3 when alleged drug trafficker Noel Latosa, alias Pares, saw him.

Reports said Viadumang and Latosa had a shootout that resulted in the death of the drug suspect.

Viadumang was about to leave the area when Latosa’s companions chased and shot him.
