Girl gang-raped in front of boyfriend

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – Three men allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl in front of her boyfriend here on Monday.

The suspects, who were reportedly high on drugs, were also accused of taking the boyfriend’s personal belongings, said Police Officer 3 Elsa Sumampong of the Butuan City police women’s desk.

Butuan City police director Senior Superintendent Romy Palgue said one of the suspects, Rey Eda, 28, a resident of Barangay Golden Ribbon, was detained  and charged with statutory rape and robbery.

Investigation showed that the lovers were strolling at the Butuan By the Bay when the suspects blocked their path and took the girl at gunpoint.
