Truck hits 2 motorcycles in Isabela; 3 dead, 1 hurt

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Three people died and another was injured when their motorcycles were hit by a truck along an overflow bridge in Barangay Cansan, Cabagan, Isabela on Thursday.

Ronaldo Valdez, Edna Martinez and Emily Liquigan died at the scene while Fernando Martinez Jr. is fighting for his life at the Milagros District Hospital, said Chief Inspector Nelson Vallejo, Cabagan police chief.

Vallejo said the brake of the truck malfunctioned. The driver of the truck, Dominador Barrientos, surrendered to responding policemen.
