Suspect in 2008 Digos bus bombing falls

DAVAO CITY , Philippines  â€“ Authorities arrested over the weekend a suspect in the bombing of a passenger bus at a terminal in Digos City, Davao del Sur on Sept. 1, 2008 that left six people dead and 16 others wounded.

The suspect, a certain Tahir Sandai, has been turned over to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Digos City where he is facing charges before Regional Trial Court Branch 19 under Judge Carmelita Sarno Davin.

Reports said Sandai was tracked down by members of a special police group in Buluan, Maguindanao.
