GMA tells new graduates to be police officers

Be cops.

This was the message made by President Gloria  Macapagal-Arroyo to the jobless of Caloocan City on Thursday.

In a statement by Press Secretary Ignacio R. Bunye, he said, "The President announced that 3,500 new policemen (up from 3,000 this year) will be hired next year."

"She invited Caloocan's jobless degree holders to apply, and added that the Caloocan City police force deserves an increase in the hiring quota," Bunye said.

He added the President likewise thanked Caloocan Mayor Enrico Echiverri for his support to the city's police.
