Matty Juniosa ends ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ stint with 4th place finish

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino singer Matty Juniosa finished his “Britain’s Got Talent” journey with a fourth place standing in a season that saw him win two Golden Buzzers.
Matty sang Sinead O’ Connor’s hit song “Nothing Compares 2 U” for his finale piece broadcast early Sunday morning (Manila time).
The show’s 19th season winner is the Hawkstone Farmers Choir. Drone art collective Celestials and the dance duo Anastasiia and Salsa placed second and third, respectively.
Matty was a season favorite after earning the Golden Buzzer earlier this year from Simon Cowell for his powerful rendition of Prince’s “Purple Rain.”
The Filipino singer followed up his golden-winning moment with another Golden Buzzer from judge Amanda Holden after his electrifying performance of Aerosmith’s “Dream On.”
The Glasgow-based part-time waiter was recently cast as Annas in the West End production of “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
