Lim urges Manila voters to choose leaders wisely

MANILA, Philippines - Mayor Alfredo Lim yesterday urged voters in Manila to choose wisely the leaders they will vote in the 2010 national elections.

Lim’s statement was made during the induction of officers and coordinators of the Joint Forces Movement Manila held at the San Andres Sports Complex. The JFMM is an affiliation of Lim’s political party, Kapayapaan Katarungan Kaunlaran (KKK), composed of members coming from all walks of life, members of the community, pedicab drivers, NGOs, the youths, and members from women’s section.

He warned about candidates who are traditional politicians who are only after their self interests. He tackled the issue on House Resolution 1109 where the rights of people to vote will be jeopardized. Lim made people realize that their votes are sacred and through election the people exercise their rights as Filipinos.         – Sandy Araneta
