MANILA, Philippines — As world leaders expect “high-level” performances from the Philippines, President Marcos has invited America’s Got Talent 2025 grand winner Jessica Sanchez to perform during the country’s hosting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit next year.

Sanchez yesterday paid a courtesy call on Marcos ahead of her New Year’s Eve performance, hosted by Newport World Resorts at the Manila Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay.

“You made us all very, very proud. The problem is with ASEAN, they expect now a high level of performers and of musicality. We got the best,” Marcos told Sanchez.

Sanchez, 30, expressed her appreciation to the President and First Lady Liza Marcos for taking the time to meet with her.

Their discussion also touched on Filipino culture and cuisine, as well as Sanchez’s upcoming album and future projects.

Marcos, in jest, offered to volunteer as her manager, while Liza suggested she explore more provinces during her stay in the country.

In a chance interview at Malacañang, Sanchez said she is excited to take part in the ASEAN hosting in May.

Sanchez will headline “The Grand Countdown to 2026,” marking her first major performance in the Philippines since winning America’s Got Talent and her first homecoming concert following the international competition.
