Marcos downplays declining survey ratings

KUALA LUMPUR – President Marcos has shrugged off a nationwide survey suggesting that his trust rating was lower than those of his predecessor Rodrigo Duterte and his ally-turned-arch foe Vice President Sara Duterte, saying there are other sources of poll numbers.
Marcos obtained a 32-percent trust rating, while Rodrigo Duterte and his daughter got 63 percent and 50 percent, respectively, in a Pulse Asia survey this month.
The poll found 42 percent of respondents saying they distrust the President.
Asked to comment on the survey results last Tuesday, Marcos replied: “There are other surveys. Let’s not base it on one.”
“Know your source... Imperfect information... make imperfect decisions. The more perfect your information, the more perfect your decision will be. That is one source of information, and you have to understand where it’s actually coming from,” he added.
In earlier media interviews, Marcos said he does not make decisions to achieve good poll numbers.
