AP Bren chooses Brody for M5 skin, Paquito for first Finals MVP skin

MANILA, Philippines – Moonton Games announced that AP Bren has chosen the M5 championship skin, which the team will co-design with the game developer, Marksman hero Brody.

"We feel that Brody has been a big part of our success in the M5 series. This hero has helped our team consistently and ultimately helped retain the PH era of MLBB. We want this hero to represent our team’s success inside the game and for our fans to be part of that success by owning the skin and enjoying it," said AP Bren director Jab Escutin.

Since the M1 World Championship, every winning team has had a say in which hero they want to have a skin that is designed based on their preference. M1 champions EVOS Legends from Indonesia chose mage hero Harith, while Philippine champions Blacklist International (M3) and ECHO (M4) went with Support hero Estes and Fighter hero Chou, respectively.

AP Bren will be the first team to have two championship skins, having won the M2 World Championship (as Bren Esports), and had chosen Assassin hero Lancelot for the M2 skin.

Besides the M5 champion skin, Moonton Games has also announced the first M5 World Championship's Finals Most Valuable Player skin, which AP Bren’s EXP laner David "FlapTzy" Canon will co-design.

"This is the first FMVP skin in MLBB’s history and I am very honored to be the first M series MVP to receive his very own FMVP Skin,” said Canon.

The hero in question is Fighter/Assassin hero Paquito, which was inspired by Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao when it was released back in 2021, complete with Tagalog voice lines.

Canon added, “I like Paquito because I feel that he represents my personality as a player. He is very aggressive to protect his teammates but also very focused on the different objectives that the team needs to win.”

Both the Brody and Paquito M5 skins will be launched in September 2024.
