Eraserheads' 'Ultraelectromagneticpop!' returns on white vinyl
Eraserheads members (from left) Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, Ely Buendia and Raymund Marasigan are set to perform at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City on Dec. 22. This is 13 years after they had the reunion concert The Final Set in 2009 and 20 years since they went on their separate ways to form their respective bands and pursue other projects.

MANILA, Philippines — Offshore Music, the independent record label founded by Ely Buendia, has officially opened pre-orders for the repress of the Eraserheads’ ULTRAELECTROMAGNETICPOP! 25th Anniversary Edition on premium white vinyl.

Pre-orders will be available until August 1 with exclusive merchandise bundles.

Produced by Diggers Factory in France and mastered by legendary engineer Bernie Grundman, the new pressing delivers an audiophile-grade listening experience while preserving the timeless sound of what is widely regarded as one of the most influential debut albums in Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

Unlike the original 25th Anniversary Edition, which was limited to just 2,500 copies and quickly became a highly sought-after collector's item, this new repress aims to make the landmark album more accessible to fans who missed out on the initial release.

According to Offshore Music General Manager Audry Dionisio, the decision to repress the album was driven by overwhelming demand and a desire to give more fans the opportunity to own an official copy.

"There were only 2,500 copies produced in the first run, and because of its limited nature, many ended up being resold by scalpers at unreasonable prices, putting the album out of reach for genuine fans," Dionisio explained. "This time, we wanted to give everyone a fair chance to own it at a more affordable price. The timing couldn't be more perfect as Offshore celebrates its 10th anniversary. This is our gift to the fans."

More than three decades after its release, ULTRAELECTROMAGNETICPOP! remains a defining album in Philippine music history. Its songs have become enduring anthems that continue to resonate across generations, capturing the spirit and everyday experiences of Filipinos with remarkable honesty and charm. To date, the album has sold more than 300,000 copies and has been certified six-times Platinum by the Philippine Association of the Recording Industry (PARI).

For collectors and longtime fans, Dionisio believes this edition offers more than just another vinyl repress.

"This edition is pressed on premium white vinyl, making it distinct from the original anniversary release. It's more affordable, but more importantly, it's an album worth owning and eventually passing on to the next generation. This repress is our way of giving those who missed the first release the opportunity to finally add it to their collection."
