'We just have to move forward': Xian Lim keeps mum on idea of rekindling with Kim Chiu
MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso actor Xian Lim didn't provide a direct answer when asked about the possibility of a second chance between him and Kim Chiu.
At the 'Love Die Repeat' press conference yesterday, Xian was asked about the possibility of rekindling his relationship with Kim and returning to each other's arms.
“I think, in life, everything happens for a reason. 'Yun lang naman po 'yun. Hindi man umulit o umulit man, everything’s gonna happen for a reason,” he answered.
Xian's co-star Jennylyn Mercado intervened, citing her own relationship with husband Dennis Trillo as an example.
"Kami ni Dennis, 'di ba, ganu’n? Nanalo ang pagmamahal,” Jennylyn said.
Xian said that he's now moving forward and enjoying his work.
“Lahat nga po na mga pangyayari sa buhay, e, it happens for a reason. So, we just have to move forward kung ano man po 'yun. Dapat naman talaga okay. We just got to work. People working," he said.
“'Yun naman 'yung gusto natin, work on yourself and just keep on doing different things, doing different projects, keeping busy,” he added.
Kim and Xian confirmed their breakup on December 23.
"End of a love story. It took me a while to say this until today," Kim shared on Instagram last month.
"We owe our supporters the truth, but we also respect each other’s time of healing. In a relationship, love is always a significant factor, but sometimes love is not enough. We shared more than a decade of love, each other’s support system, and many beautiful memories," she added.
