Julia’s aunt Claudine Barretto joins Gretchen in supporting Bea Alonzo
MANILA, Philippines — After actress Gretchen Barretto sent flowers and support for “Magkaribal” co-star Bea Alonzo, Bea has found another supporter from the Barretto clan – Claudine.
In Bea’s cryptic Instagram post allegedly about cheating, Claudine recently commented to show support for the Kapamilya star.
“You are loved. Sending u my luv & Hugs,” Claudine commented on Bea’s post.
Meanwhile, in Claudine’s Instagram account, the actress also posted a cryptic quote about abused kindness.
“I'm sorry. I forgot I only exist when you need something,” Claudine said in the quote she posted.
“I'm Done! I can only do and take so much,” she captioned the post.
Instagram users alleged that Claudine was pertaining to sister Marjorie Barretto and niece Julia Barretto.
Claudine’s older sister Gretchen commented on Claudine’s post: “Correct. Do not allow others to abuse your kindness. Is it the mother daughter team,” Gretchen commented.
“I thank God I have you,” Claudine replied to her sister.
Claudine and Gretchen are not still in good terms with their sister Marjorie. Last March, Claudine and Gretchen criticized Marjorie’s eldest daughter Dani Barretto for allegedly making it look like she was raised only by her mother Marjorie.
“So parang nung sinabi niya na, 'My mama was the only one there for me, who raised me,' Ano ako? Multo? Ano si Claudine? Multo?," Gretchen said in an Instagram live video.
The controversy between Bea and Julia began last week, when Bea posted a cryptic message in her Instagram post, allegedly about cheating.
Bea also liked an Instagram post of a fan showing Bea’s boyfriend, Gerald Anderson, hanging out with his “Between Maybes” co-star Julia at the birthday party of actor Rayver Cruz.
In a recent statement posted by ABS-CBN, Bea said she and Gerald have not formally split.
“To my understanding we did not break up. He just started not talking to me,” Bea said.
