2018 Miss Dapitan crowned

MANILA, Philippines — The 2018 Kinabayo Festival in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte crowned its queen and her court on July 23, from left, first runner-up Jela Endab, Miss Dapitan Tourism Jan Louie Potoy, Miss Dapitan 2018 Kris Angela Ondac, Miss Dapitan Heritage Mervylor Culanculan and second runner-up Lady Jane Umbac. 

Ondac, 19, representing Cluster 6, is a Technical Vocational Livelihood major in Programming graduate from Jose Rizal Memorial State University. 

Judging panel was chaired by Mrs. Tourism Pageant owner Ovette Ricalde with 2017 Bb. Cebu and 2016 Bb. Pilipinas semi-finalist Apriel Smith, 2014 Miss World Philippines semi-finalist Gazzini Granados and Super Model Universe Philippines national director Tatta Saguin as members, among others.

The pageant is one of the highlights of the annual Kinabayo Festival in celebration of the feast of Saint James the Great, a project by Dapitan City Mayor Rosalina Jalosjos and Tourism Office headed by Apple Marie Agolong. Pageant jury and members of media were billeted in the world-class Dakak Park and Beach Resort.
