Paul Jake Castillo ignores critics of relationship with Kaye Abad

MANILA, Philippines- Paul Jake Castillo says he's “very comfortable” with his relationship with Kaye Abad.

Kaye confirmed their relationship last month saying, “Yes we're together na. It happened recently lang. Hehe! We are ok. Happy!”

Paul Jake said that starting off as friends is an advantage for their relationship since it became his “ligaw stage 'no, when we got to now each other.”

He added that “she knows my good and bad side. So everyone has their down side, she knows about it, I guess I know a lot about her also. So it's a good thing.”

Meanwhile, if there are some who are happy that they're together, there were others who think their relationship happened too soon since Kaye just confirmed her breakup with Guji Lorenza early this year.

“Wala naman silang magawa, e,” Paul Jake said about their critics. “Hindi naman sila ang girlfriend ko, I don't know them, I don't care.

“You know, it's really funny they got offended that I'm with Kaye. If other people say na they don't want me for Kaye, anong magawa nila? Just don't mind us.”

As Kaye is  now 32 years old and Paul Jake turning 30 years old this year, he was asked if they've discussed settling down soon.

In a separate interview, Kaye said that she doesn't want to say that Paul Jake is “The One” for her.

Though she adds that “hindi ko naman siya magiging boyfriend if I don't see myself with him. Sa edad kong ito, wala na ako doon sa stage na magboyfriend ay dahil like ko lang siya. Kailangan yung hahanapin ko yung makakasama ko sa buhay.

On the other hand, Paul Jake said settling down is “a big picture.” Though he admits that they occasionally talk about weddings, they know they're not yet ready for that since "alam namin na ang dami [namin] pang ambitions, e.”
