Bassilyo’s single ‘Lord Patawad’ is based on his life

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines- A life story, an expression, to serve as an inspiration. These are the things that describe Bassilyo’s songs in his album “Klasik.”

Bassilyo or Lordivino Ignacio in real life was discovered by Francis Magalona, with his group Crazy as Pinoy, through the “Eat Bulaga” rap battle contest “Rapublic” in 2003.

But even before he joined the said contest, he was already starting to compose his own songs, which he believes is an inborn talent of his.

Kasi ‘yong iba naman bulol o may f and b deficiency.

‘Lord Patawad’

Bassilyo is proud to say that the nine songs in his album are all his original compositions from year 2000, which are mostly based on his life.

Take for example the hit single “Lord Patawad,” which he wrote when he was going through something in his life.

This is the reason why he believes that, even though he might be forgotten someday, he believes that the message that his songs has will live on forever.
