Manila, Philippines -  GMA News TV is all set to deliver another significant event in the country’s history via its Chief Justice on Trial special coverage as Chief Justice Renato Corona (photo) finally takes the stand today.

Among the most pressing issues in the trial the top magistrate is expected to shed light on are the alleged millions of dollars in his bank accounts and his purported partiality to former Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in the Supreme Court en banc decision favoring her travel abroad.

Anchored by Arnold Clavio and Vicky Morales, together with Ivan Mayrina, Rhea Santos and Kara David, GMA News TV’s Chief Justice on Trial provides the public detailed proceedings of the impeachment trial.

GMA News TV’s coverage of the impeachment trial is supported with analyses from Constitutional Law experts including former Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban, UP College of Law former deans Raul Pangalangan and Pacifico Agabin, Ateneo School of Government dean Antonio G.M. La Viña and UP College of Law professors Rowena Daroy Morales and Gwen de Vera.

Airing live at 2 p.m., The Chief Justice On Trial will have recaps in Quick Response Team at 6 p.m., followed by Balita Pilipinas Ngayon at 6:30 p.m., and later in the primetime newscast State of the Nation with Jessica Soho. Highlights of the impeachment trial will also be shown in Dobol B sa News TV, News to Go, Balitanghali and News TV Live.
