'Trabaho lang po, walang personalan'

FUNFARE UPDATE - Ricky Lo -

In a jiffy, years of animosity between Annabelle Rama and Wilma Galvante were, as Funfare reported in a scoop yesterday, consigned to the dustbin with a hug.

The reconciliation turned out to be the highlight of Wilma’s 60th birthday celebration Thursday night, hosted by Mother Lily Monteverde at the function room of her Imperial Palace Suites (Timog-Morato Rotunda, Quezon City). Mother Lily initiated the reconciliation Wednesday night when she made the two protagonists kiss and make up via telephone. It was cemented barely a week after Wilma retired as GMA’s SVP for the Entertainment Group.

“I admit that I texted Wilma bad words,” said Annabelle. “When she wasn’t replying, akala ko naro-wrong number ako. Pero nag-ri-ring naman ang celfone n’ya when I called her,” adding that she saluted Wilma not only for not answering but also, more so, for not saying anything bad against her.

All smiles, Wilma said, “Walang personalan, trabaho lang,” agreeing with ABS-CBN reporter Mario Dumaual that the reconciliation was a nice birthday gift for her.

As Wilma said in an exclusive interview with Funfare the other day, she isn’t really leaving the industry that she loves so much. She plans to put up an Academy of Television Arts with, among others, Tony Tuviera, Boy Abunda and Beverly Vergel as resource persons.
