Jose Mari: 'Pretty Boy' goes dramatic

The ‘Pretty Boy’ of the ’60s, Jose Mari, goes dramatic in Sugat sa Balikat, produced by Sampaguita Pictures and directed by Ding M. de Jesus, based on the Tagalog Klasiks novel by Pablo S. Gomez.

Supporting ‘Pretty Boy’ are Carmen Rosales, Liberty Ilagan, Rosa Mia, Naty Santiago, Mito Seva and Chichay.

Jose Mari’s contemporaries at Sampaguita are the equally handsome Eddie Gutierrez and Bobby Vasquez.

He served as congressman in the ’90s, representing San Juan and Mandaluyong. His daughters Cristina ‘Kring Kring’ and Ana Maria Gonzalez also joined the movies. Kring Kring is married to Tacloban Mayor Alfred Romualdez. She herself is Tacloban councilor.  — RKC
