Young Star Singing Idol Season 2

The exciting grand finale of the Young Star Singing Idol (Season 2) contest will be held at the Elizabeth Mall Activity Center this coming December 17, 2006 from 1PM to 7PM.

The 10 Cebu grand finalists are Dianne Cindy Lim of Sangi, Lapu-Lapu City; Trixie Jalipot of Lilo-an, Consolacion, Cebu; Johanne Morissette Amon of Mambaling; Rodith Jaleco of Minglanilla; Cherish Pearl Cartalaba of Minglanilla; Chelsy Sacaday of San Fernando; Eve Daphne Benedicto of Tinaan, Naga; Joan Reyes of Gabi, Cordova; Stephen Jan Boyboy of Tipolo, Mandaue City; and Hashel Kumaingking of Wireless, Mandaue City.

The top four who will emerge from among the Cebu finalists will compete with the champions from Ormoc City and Cagayan de Oro on the same day, with the ultimate champion of this season to be included in Diomariz Ads & Promotions' Kids Icon and thus, gets to undergo workshops in acting, hosting, dancing and singing.

Behind the Young Star Singing Idol contest is the Diomariz Ads & Promotions, an advertisement, promotion and entertainment production company that was founded on May 18, 2005. The name Diomariz was taken from the names of the owners themselves: Dioscora Blase Quisido, a businesswoman engaged in export raw materials for fashion accessories, and Momarlito Quisido who works as a sea man in an international company.

Dioscora, who's also known as "Jerry," is actually very passionate just about anything about kids, and Diomariz Ads & Promotions indeed pays attention to child development. The company's mission-vision is to produce competent individuals in the field of entertainment as well as encourage young people to keep away from drugs and other vices by focusing instead on putting their talents to good use.

Samantha Abadilla was the champion of the first-ever Young Star Singing Idol last year (and who represented Cebu in ABS-CBN's nationwide Little Big Star) and now part of the Kids Icon.

Actually, last December 2005, Diomariz Ads & Promotions launched Kids Icon who, apart from Samantha, also included Louie E. Janes II of Sangi, Minglanilla who was the 2005 Minglanilla Bulilit Pop Star Champion; Robert Villar Jr. from Sikatuna, T. Padilla who was Grand Champion of ABS-CBN Little Big Star Nationwide and was included in ABS-CBN teleserye Calla Lily as Berto; Danica "Nikki" Caballes of Talamban who was a Star of the Month of August in ABS-CBN's Little Big Star-Cebu and 2004 ABS-CBN MRS Sing Like Sheryn winner; Anna Noelle Gighe of Mabolo, who was the 2006 Cebu Little Miss Milo Olympics winner; and Niña Arny Mabugat, of Villa Leyson, Talamban. The Kids Icon will also perform in a mini-concert at the Elizabeth Mall this December 17.

A Sports & Talents Development Center has also been opened recently in the Diomariz Ads & Promotions Building located in the Diom Jeorge Tampus St., Basak, Lapu-Lapu City to further develop a lot more of the kids' talents.
