LG Viewty notches phenomenal sales

Only five weeks after it was launched in Europe, LG Viewty (LG-KU990), LG’s first professional-level digital camera phone, has notched phenomenal sales of 310,000 units.

In Asia, similar figures are also expected to be posted as more and more people discover the cutting-edge features of LG’s new camera phone.

It also comes with HSDPA, so you can download pages at up to 1.8Mbps, which is almost as fast as many people’s broadband connections at home,” he says.

GSMarena.com loves the DivX video capability and Muvee Studio application of LG Viewty: “Having such a portable device play DivX videos is another great step in the right direction for the mobile community. We also like the Muvee Studio application — you can feed photos you’ve taken, for example, and it will create an MP4 movie clip out of them.”

Letsgomobile.org raves about LG Viewty’s quick search-enabled jog wheel: “The scroll (jog) wheel is an innovation of LG and it means that no extra buttons are required, for example, for zooming in or out.”
