CREBA launches Young Members Council; VP Binay to induct officers

MANILA, Philippines – The Chamber of Real Estate & Builders’ Associations, Inc. (CREBA) announced the inauguration of the CREBA Young Members’ Council, more popularly known as CYMC, at ceremonies to be held on July 29, 2010, Thursday, 7 p.m. at the Hotel Intercontinental Manila, Ayala Avenue, Makati City.

The event shall be held simultaneously with the 7th monthly business meeting of the Chamber.

According to CREBA vice president for internal affairs Lito Panlilio, Jr., Vice-President Jejomar Binay, will be the guest of honor and inducting officer.

The CYMC is an affiliate association of CREBA composed of second-generation real estate professionals whose programs include leadership trainings and business seminars, outreach programs and socio-civic projects, as well as exchange and scholarship programs on real estate management and development, mindful of the dynamism of the youth. It aims to develop young real estate practitioners, developers and professionals in the allied fields to effectively fulfil their roles in the property and housing industry guided by the CREBA ideal of “social responsibility, nation-building and overall economic activity.”

During the inauguration rites, the first set of officers of the Council will be inducted into office. Leading the inductees are Phillip G. Lim, chairman, and Conirose L. Dulalia, president.

Also to be inducted are: Jaime Singson, vice-president for internal affairs; Mark Anthony Carpio, vice-president for external affairs; Maria Melissa Hidalgo, vice-president for information technology; architect Kathleen Klein G. Ong, secretary-general; Frederick Marvin Gan, treasurer; as well as directors Jefferson Bongat, Michelle Cristina Gamutan, Michelle Castaño, Ginger Hazel L. Manansala, Janice Manalo, Daniel R. Dela Cruz, Joseph Severa and Rep. Mark A. Villar.

As the Council holds the chartering ceremonies, founding members from the national capital region, as well as members from the rest of the provinces nationwide where CREBA chapters exist, shall likewise pledge their oath of membership.

The event is supported by Boysen Paint, the leading Philippine paint manufacturer which has been an industry partner of CREBA for many years.
