Learn best practices in facilities, maintenance management

Agence France-Presse

MANILA, Philippines — Building and facility maintenance is often overlooked, but when done properly, it can cut costs, save energy and even create a more efficient workforce. To help property owners, building managers, hoteliers and administrators, the Center for Global Best Practices will host a two-day training entitled Best Practices in Facilities and Maintenance Management to be held on Thursday and Friday, April 27 and 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the 10/F One Shangri-La Place, Mandaluyong City, Philippines.

Listen and learn from internationally renowned book author on the topic, Efren Mañez, who will share with you his over 40 years of best practices experiences. His expertise and work engagements has brought him to many different parts of Southeast Asia and Dubai. Among his successful professional maintenance and construction project applications include landmarks and prominent structures such as the Brunei Grand Sultanate Palaces and its several VVIP housings, Marco Polo luxury hotel, mixed-use commercial and BPO buildings, high-end office condominiums / condotels, cultural center edifice and the nationwide bank branches and assets. He also spearheaded the maintenance of the UNOCAL 76 or Chevron’s (Mark-Ban and Tiwi) geothermal-electric power generation assets.

Registration is open to the general public.  CGBP is an accredited training provider of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Anti-Money Laundering Council, Governance Commission for GOCCs, DILG-Local Government Academy, Civil Service Commission, and other regulatory agencies. Government employees who enroll in this training program will not be covered by Philippine Procurement Law or RA 9184 based on its Revised IRR’s Section 4.5-b, which classifies training and seminars as non-procurement activities. DBM circular 563 issued on April 22, 2016 also exempts public officials and government employees from the P2,000-limit per day on training fees.
