Kahandaan sa K-12, pinalagan ng ACT

MANILA, Philippines – Umalma  ang mga lider at miyembro ng Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT), mula sa iba’t- ibang bahagi ng bansa na nagsama-sama sa isang lugar  sa Quezon City, para maipakita at iparating sa sambayanan ang tunay na kalagayan ng  mga paaralan sa pagpapatupad ng K to 12 program sa  pagbubukas ng klase bukas.

“No amount of data manipulation and sweet words can hide the bitter truth about the government’s failure to meet the needs of K to 12. As we said before, the K to 12, specifically the Senior High School program will result into massive dropouts, additional burden to teachers and employees and will worsen the problem in the shortages of classrooms, learning facilities, equipment and materials,” sabi ni Benjamin Valbuena, National Chairman ng ACT - Pilipinas.

May mga reklamo rin sa ibang paaralan lalu na sa southern part ng bansa tulad nang mga problema sa silid aralan, hindi kumpletong kagamitan para sa grade 11 to 12 at may mga eskuwelahan na napakalayo para sa mga mag-aaral na papasok dahil sa ibang lugar binuksan ang K to 12 center.

“Given the undeniable complaints, ACT expects all reports of inadequacy to be revealed and experienced firsthand tomorrow, the first day of classes, in which teachers are to bear the greatest burden,” sabi  ni Valbuena.

Ayon kay  Valbuena, dapat ibasura ang anti - people at anti - teacher na  K to 12 program.
