Solano pinalalaya na
MANILA, Philippines – Naglabas ang Department of Justice ng release order ngayong Miyerkules para sa itinuturing na principal suspek sa pagkasawi ng University of Santo Tomas law student.
Sinabi ni Prosecutor General Jorge Catalan na ang release order ay hindi nangahuhulugan na abswelto na sa kaso si John Paul Solano.
"[There will be a] preliminary investigation, that would be conducted so he (Solano) will have the opportunity or chance to file his answer, but it would depend upon the panel whether or not probable cause exists. If there is, we will file the case in court. If there is none, then we will dismiss it," sabi ni Catalan.
BASAHIN: UST hazing victim Atio Castillo inilibing na
Kasalukuyang nakakulong si Solano sa Manila Police District na nahaharap sa kasong murder, anti-hazing, robbery, perjury at obstruction of justice.
Magsisimula ang preliminary investigation sa pagkamatay ni Horacio Castillo III sa Oktubre 4 at 9 kung saan pangungunahan ni Assistant State Prosecutor Susan Villanueva ang three-man panel.
Sumuko nitong Biyernes si Solano upang linisin ang kaniyang pangalan. Kahapon lamang ay pinangalanan niya sa executive session ng Senado ang mga nasa likod ng pagkasawi ni Castillo.
Inihatid na si Castillo sa kaniyang huling hantungan ngayong hapon sa Manila Memorial Park sa Parañaque City.
