Publiko binalaan sa PhilHealth ID card replacement scam

MANILA, Philippines — Nagbabala ang Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) sa publiko, lalo na sa lahat ng miyembro nito, laban sa isang text message na kasalukuyang kumakalat na nagsasabing kailangang palitan ang PhilHealth Identification (ID) card sa pamamagitan ng ipinadadalang link sa mga miyembro.
Mariing itinanggi ng PhilHealth na nagpapadala sila ng text messages na may link.
“This message is fake. PhilHealth has no ID replacement process that is done through text messages or online links. Scammers can make a text appear to come from an official sender name, and their messages may even show up in the same thread as legitimate PhilHealth messages,” ayon sa PhilHealth.
“PhilHealth will never send text messages (1) containing links, (2) asking for your password, one-time pin (OTP), or bank and e-wallet details, or (3) asking you to send money or pay any fee,” dagdag [anito.
Paalala ng ahensya, ang mga miyembro ay dapat na makipagtransaksyon lamang sa pamamagitan ng mga opisyal na PhilHealth channels na kinabibilangan ng Local Health Insurance Offices (LHIOs), PhilHealth Member Portal (https://memberinquiry.philhealth.gov.ph/member/), at eGovPH Application (e.gov.ph)
