Terrence Jones accepts Arwind Santos' personal apology
MANILA, Philippines — Racially charged controversy soured the San Miguel Beermen's journey to the PBA Commissioner's Cup title after Arwind Santos' monkey taunt to TNT KaTropa import Terrence Jones in Game Five of the finals.
But after a hefty fine and an apology on Twitter, it seems like the fire has been put out — at least between both players involved.
The SMB forward uploaded a 45-second long video on his personal Twitter account in which he apologized to the KaTropa cager and to the fans as well.

"Wala po akong masamang intensyon. Inaamin ko po mali po ako. Sorry po, sana po mapatawad niyo po ako. Tao lang po ako nagkakamali lang din po ako," Santos said.
Santos also approached Jones before Game Six tip off Friday night.

"Yeah, I mean I'm a human being I just want him to respect me as a person," he said.
"As a father and as a black man. I'm here to represent my family and I'm not saying bad about anybody else's culture or race," he added.
The Beermen wrapped the series up with a 102-90 victory in Game Six.
