MANILA, Philippines — Marinerong Pilipino tries to stay in the hunt and join Metropac-San Beda in the next round when they clash in the curtain-raiser of a heavy tripleheader in the PBA D-League at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig today.

The Skippers, holding a 3-4 card at sixth in the Foundation Group, are on the brink of missing the playoffs for the first time since joining the league in 2017.

They are keen on avoiding the exit doors in their 12 p.m. tiff with the playoff-bound Movers, who for their part are eager to bounce back to close in on a top two finish in their bracket.

Petron-Letran, joint fourth at 5-3 with Go for Gold-College of Saint Benilde in the Aspirants’ Group, is out to strengthen its playoff hopes in a 2 p.m. match with ousted Batangas-Emilio Aguinaldo College (eighth at 2-6).
