Palace, Dept. of Agriculture notch 2nd UNTV Cup wins

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang-Philippine Sports Commission and Department of Agriculture bested their respective rivals in contrasting fashions to forge a three-way tie for Group B lead in the seventh UNTV Cup held over the weekend at the Pasig City Sports Center.

The Malacañang-PSC Kamao rode on a big fourth quarter assault to pull off a 74-70 win over the Judiciary Magi while the DA Food Masters clobbered the Ombudsman Graftbusters, 85-67.

With their wins, Malacañang-PSC and DA tied National Housing Authority for the early Group B lead with similar 2-0 cards in the annual tournament for public servants.

Department of Justice outlasted GSIS, 71-65, for its first win in two games in the lone Group A match.
