Jazz top rookie Mitchell due

MANILA, Philippines — Reigning NBA slamdunk champion and Rookie of the Year leader Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz will arrive on Sunday to grace an event of Adidas, a brand he currently endorses.

Jen Dacasin, Adidas Phl brand communications and sports marketing manager, has confirmed the arrival of the 21-year-old Mitchell, who topped the NBA dunk contest and is in the thick of the fight for the rookie honors with the Philadelphia 76ers’ Ben Simmons and Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum.

“From claiming the 2018 Slam Dunk title to leading in the 2018 NBA Rookie of the Year race, Donovan Mitchell has really inspired our basketball-crazy country and we can’t wait to welcome him to the Phl,” said Dacasin in a statement.
