AdU reaches Passerelle final

MANILA, Philippines - Adamson University denied Ateneo de Manila a chance at two crowns when it edged its Passerelle rival, 69-67, to advance to the finals, leaving Ateneo with only a shot at the Small Basketeers Philippines (SBP) title in the Best Center twin-basketball tournament for the youth at the Xavier School gym last weekend.

Adamson will face La Salle Greenhills-A, which scraped past San Beda College-Rizal, 58-55, in the other Passerelle semifinal pairing. They battle for the crown at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Jacinto Tiu competition court also at Xavier School.

Ateneo, however, still forced what is expected to be a fierce final duel with rival LSGH-A for the SBP crown after the Eaglets crushed SBC-Rizal, 74-49, in their semis duel in this tournament sponsored by Milo .and supported by Chris Sports and Rain or Shine.
