Pampanga Foton eyes sweep vs QC-UP five

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Pampanga Foton Toplander guns for a first round sweep as it clashes with archrival Quezon City UP today in the Filsports Basketball Association Second Conference at the Trinity University of Asia in Quezon City.

In four outings, the Toplanders are unbeaten and will go for win No. 5 in their 5:30 p.m. duel  with the Maroons, the First Conference champions who split their first four outings for joint third with the Malolos Mighty Bulsu.

Interestingly, Pampanga Foton, which is expected to draw strength from the high-scoring Levi Hernandez, is eyeing nothing less than avenging its finals defeat to QC UP last conference that left a bitter taste in the mouth.

The Manila NU-MFT Bulldogs, for their part, tangle with the Marikina Wangs Deliverers at 12 noon while the Mighty Bulsu collide with the Nic Belasco-led Pateros AMA Associates in an equally interesting showdown at 3:30 p.m.

The league’s main sponsors are Korgivit E and Titan. FBA president and CEO LJ Serrano and commissioner and CFO Vince Hizon are gracing the scheduled games together with newly appointed COO Claudia Perrine.

All games will be aired on Aksyon TV Mondays 4:15-6:15 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays 7-9 p.m. and Sundays 7-11 p.m. . These will be aired over Northern America  thrice a week via Aksyon International and some featured games via Net 25 and Fox Sports International.
