Legazpi chosen 2016 Palaro host

MANILA, Philippines - Albay Gov. Joey Salceda has guaranteed the successful staging of the 2016 Palarong Pambansa after the Palaro board picked Legazpi City as the next host of the annual games for elementary and high school student-athletes.

In fact, Salceda assured the Palaro board that the province has the equipment and resources needed to construct and repair its sports facilities and playing venues in time for the event.

The Department of Education and the Philippine Sports Commission said members of the Palarong Pambansa Board – chaired by Secretary Armin Luistro – have chosen Legazpi City over its lone competitor, Tuguegarao City.
