Derby at Elorde's

MANILA, Philippines - A four-cock derby featuring entries from big-time breeders will be held tonight at the Elorde Cockpit on Sucat Road, Parañaque.

Promoted by the Elorde Management, the event has a guaranteed prize of P400,000 with pot money pegged at P11,000. The winning handler will get P15,000 and the gaffer P10,000. Minimum bet is P5,500 while weight limit is between 2.8 and 2.4kg.

The derby is hosted by lawyer Asoy and Ruel Ricafort, assisted by Albert, Vetsin and Mong. First fight begins at 7 p.m.

The participants are Butchoy Olano, Eric dela Rosa, Nueva Ecija Group, Vice Mayor Taguba, Atty. Astorga, Johnny Elorde, George Fajardo, Boy Bata, Alex Tobias, Pep Burgos, Atty. Galicia, Capt. Villaroel, Marlon Arnaiz and Paul and Alex Derpo.
