Villanueva, Del Rosario shine in ABC bowlfest

MANILA, Philippines – Paeng Villanueva of Emerald Vinyl rolled an eight-game series of 1651 to capture the Group 1 crown while Malou del Rosario of Supreme Steel Pipe Corp. topped Group 2 with a 1407 in the Architects Bowling Club’s quarterly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Nepthy del Rosario of Boysen Paints made 1614, May Sabater of ABC Phils. had 1605 while Boyet Libiran of Lepanto Tiles scored 1565 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 1 in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Boy Roldan of Crown Pipes submitted 1392, Zeny Prudente of Hocheng Phils. turned in 1371 and Tony Sabater of ProActive Pest Control made 1348 to place second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

Meanwhile, action in the event, backed by Philflex Wires and Cables, Stone 2000 and Sika Phils., resumes at 6:30 tonight with the staging of the hi-lo events and the second quarterly awards night at Buma Restaurant at Tiendesitas, Pasig City.
