Ateneo spikers prevail

MANILA, Philippines - Ateneo De Manila posted its first victory in the women’s division of 2009 National Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Championship with a convincing 25-18, 25-15, 25-14 win against Holy Angel U yesterday at the University of Cordilleras gym in Baguio City.

The Charo Soriano-led Ateneo Lady Blue Eagles were virtually unstoppable in attacking the helpless Holy Angel’s squad all-through the three-set showdown en route to their first victory in the event organized by Philippine Volleyball Federation president Pedro Mendoza.
