MANILA, Philippines — Nilinaw ng isang opisyal ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) na peke ang mga naglalabasang COVID-19 vaccination exemption cards  at ang mga ito ay hindi kinikilala ng gobyerno.

Ang paglilinaw ay ginawa ni DILG Undersecretary at Spokesperson Jonathan Malaya matapos na makatanggap ng ulat na mayroong mga COVID-19 vaccination exemption cards na lumilitaw ngayon.

“The public is warned that there is no such thing as a ‘vaccination exemption card’. This is not authorized, issued, nor recognized by the government. In other words, these are fake,” ayon kay Malaya, sa isang pahayag.

Nabatid na ang mga naturang hindi awtorisadong cards ay nagmula sa Facebook groups at group chats sa Davao at Soccsksargen.

Sinasabing maaari itong iparehistro sa local government units (LGUs) at kinikilala bilang kapalit ng CO­VID-19 vaccination cards.

“The so-called exemption cards look similar to the green COVID-19 Vaccination Cards being issued by several LGUs,” ani Malaya.

“Sa biglang tingin aakalain itong tunay dahil pareho ng kulay, format at hitsura,” aniya pa. Kaugnay nito, nanawagan si Malaya sa mga lokal na awtoridad na maging mas vigilante sa pag-iinspeksiyon nila ng mga vaccination cards sa mga provincial at regional borders, habang umiiral pa ang restriksiyon para sa mga hindi bakunadong indibiduwal.
