Inagaw ang stage 3

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – , Philippines  —  Mula sa apat na siklista na bumitaw sa peloton ay unti-unting kumawala si Australian rider Samuel Hill ng Team Nero Bianchi sa huling 12 kilometro para tuluyan nang angkinin ang lap victory.

Nagposte ang 6-foot-2 na tubong New Castle, Australia ng bilis na apat na oras, 33 minuto at 12 segundo para pagharian ang Stage Three 183.7-kilometer race na pinakawalan sa Daet, Camarines Norte at nagtapos dito sa Rizal Avenue.

“This is the best feeling ever,” wika ng 23-anyos na si Hill sa kanyang kauna-unahang stage win sa isang International Cycling Union (UCI)-sanctioned race. “It’s my first win in a UCI race and I am very, very happy.”

Tinalo ni Hill sina Do­minic Perez (4:34.03) ng 7-Eleven Cliqq, 2014 champion Mark Galedo (4:34.06) ng Celeste Cycles, Angus Lyons (4:35.01) ng Oliver’s Real Food Racing, Stage Two winner Mario Vogt (4:35.06) ng Team Sapura Cycling, Mohd Zamri Saleh (4:35.06) ng Terengganu Cycling Team, Jamalidin Novardianto (4:35.06) at Aiman Cahyadi (4:35.06) at ng PGN Road Cycling Team at Jan Paul Morales (4:35.06) ng Philippine National Team.

“Last 12 kilometers nakawala na siya (Hill). Nag-try kami maghabol ni kuya Mac (Galedo), kaso talagang matulin siya eh.”

Patuloy namang isusuot ni Stage One winner Jeroen Meijers ng Taiyuan Mogee Cycling Team ang purple jersey para sa solong liderato sa individual ge­neral classification.

Naorasan ang Dutch rider ng aggregate time na 12:34.06) sa nasabing Category 2.2 event na may basbas ng UCI.

Sumusunod kay Meijers sina Choon Huat Goh (12:34.51) ng Terengganu Cycling Team, Lyons (12:35.44), Daniel Habtemichael (12:36.19) ng 7-Eleven Cliqq, Sandy Nur Hasan (12:36.21) at Cahyadi (12:36.38) ng PGN Road Cycling Team.

Samantala, bibi­tawan nga­yong umaga ang Stage Four 176.00 kms. buhat dito  papuntang Sorsogon at Gubat at pabalik sa Albay capital at kasunod ang Stage Five 145.80 kms bukas sa Legazpi City via Donsol sa Sorsogon.
