MANILA, Philippines — Tiniyak kahapon ng Department of Ener­gy (DOE) sa publiko na walang magaganap na brownout sa panahon ng halalan sa bansa sa Lunes, May 9.

Ayon kay DOE-Electric Power Industry Management Bureau Director Mario Marasigan, sinimulan na nilang subaybayan ang power situation noon pang Mayo 2 para matiyak na stable at sapat ang suplay ng kuryente na laan sa panahon ng halalan sa bansa.

“So far wala tayong nakikitang mga problema o potensyal na problema pagdating sa serbisyo ng kuryente lalo na sa eleksyon,” pahayag ni Marasigan.

Sinabi ni Marasigan na nakikipag-ugnayan na ang ahensiya sa grid operator, National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP), power gene­ration companies, at distribution utilities sa pagmonitor sa power situa­tion sa loob ng 24 oras mula noong Mayo 2.
