5% annual revenue ng PAGCOR, ilalaan sa Philippine Sports Commission
MANILA, Philippines - Tiniyak ng House Committee on Youth and Sports Development na tutulungan nila ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) na makakuha ng 5% annual revenue share nito sa Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
Sinabi ni Rep. Conrado M. Estrella III (Party-list, ABONO), committee chairman, sa mandato sa ilalim ng charter ang PSC ay may limang porsiyento share sa kita ng PAGCOR kada taon.
“That is five percent of the gross revenue, not net revenue, of PAGCOR,” sabi ni Estrella.
Pinag-usapan ang five percent share ng PSC sa kita ng PAGCOR earnings sa ginawang pagpupulong ng una at ng mga opisyal ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) sa plano at programa ng kanilang ahensiya.
“The PSC is supposed to get five percent from PAGCOR revenues. I don’t think it is easy getting that from PAGCOR,”sabi n Rep. Prospero Pichay Jr.
Ayon kay Pichay, hindi sapat ang salaping natatanggap ng PSC sa PAGCOR at maliit lamang ang pondo na nakukuha ng una sa national government.
“Hence, we do not expect our athletes to get gold medals because of such small subsidy to them,” sabi ni Pichay.
