CBSAA midawat sa ilang kapalaran sa CESAFI

Emmanuel Villaruel - Banat

"At the onset, please accept our gratitude for giving our young student-athletes a venue where they can showcase their potentials and an opportunity to grow as a person through various values that the basketball sports have instilled in them," matud pa ni Martinez sa iyang suwat ngadto ni Tiukinhoy niadtong Nobiembre 30.

"We humbly accept your decision and this is to signify that we no longer have the intention of joining the next season considering the series of unfortunate events that our team has had to endure just to hurdle the discrimination and stereotypes brought about by massive social media attacks."

"We supposed that joining Cesafi would be an opportunity for our young athletes not only to learn the skills of basketball but an opportunity for them to learn from their mistakes and correct themselves for the better. Despite the lack of due process, we have always complied with the decisions of the commissioner," dugang pa ni Martinez.

"However, the lack of consistency and disparity in which the Commissioner imposes sanctions on CBSAA as compared to our fellow competitors, has left us with the feeling of being singled-out. To argue our case would be nothing but a futile attempt," padayong pa ni Martinez. "We recognize the importance of our avid fans and supporters who constitute the lifeblood of our team. But to penalize and terminate the participation of CBSAA due to social media posts made by non-official member of the team management is simply unjust and uncalled for.For the record, team management and official team members have never posted a single comment to discredit the reputation of the Commissioner and the league."

"As a guest team of CESAFI, we prepared and looked forward to the competition and the challenges our competitors would bring on the basketball court. However, the off-court antics and whimsical decisions of the commissioner has made it clear to us that we were never truly welcomed in this league," panapos pa ni Martinez.
