Diliman College papalaot na sa D-League

MANILA, Philippines — Matapos magkampeon sa Universities and Colleges Basketball League (UCBL), sesentro naman ang atensiyon ng Diliman College sa  PBA  D-League sa susunod na taon.

Tinanggap na ng pamunuan ng Diliman College ang imbitasyon na lumaro sa PBA D-League.

At optimistiko sina Diliman College president Nikki Coseteng at Diliman Blue Dragons multi-titled coach Rensy Bajar na makakasabay ang kanilang tropa laban sa matitikas na koponan sa D-League.

“We (Blue Dragons) will go there ready. Our team will give all of them a good fight. I hope our school will be known because of this. We have a lot of talent, we have good students and the school offers good programs,” ani Bajar na assistant coach ni Pido Jarencio sa Northport Batang Pier sa PBA.

Nagkampeon din ang Blue Dragons sa UCBL Summer Invitational Tournament, Fr. Martin’s Cup at Republica Cup collegiate division.

Maliban sa local tournaments, gumagawa rin ng ingay ang Blue Dragons sa international competitions.

Nagkampeon ang Diliman College sa Universiti Teknologi MARA International Sports Fiesta sa Malaysia sa tatlong sunod na taon laban sa mga koponan ng Thailand, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia at Indonesia.

Tiwala naman si Coseteng sa magiging laban ng Blue Dragons. “We bring with us not just a ragtag team even if we are new. I have full confidence in our team and in our coach,” aniya.
