Amit, Rañola, makikipagsabayan

MANILA, Philippines - Kulang man sa international exposure kumpara sa ibang lady cue artists, kumpiyansiya si Rubilen Amit na makukuha niya ang titulo sa pinakaprestihiyosong event na Women’s World 10-Ball Championship na magsisimula bukas sa SM City North EDSA, Quezon City.

Punum-puno ng pag-asa, determinado ang 27 anyos na Cebuana na naging runner up sa 2007 Women’s 9-Ball Championship na sa pamamagitan ng pakikilahok nito sa iba pang torneo, maaasinta niya ang panalo.

“Even if I’m not competing in tournaments abroad, I still get good exposures here in the Philippines by participating in tournaments like the Villar Cup, where I compete against top Filipino players, who are among the best players in the world,”

 Sa ilalim ng pagtuturo ni long-time national coach Boyet Asonto, ibabandera ni Amit, kasama si 2008 WPBA Rookie of the Year Iris Rañola na makuha ang pinakamalaking karangalan sa torneong organisado ng Dragon Promotions na suportado ng JBETpoker.net, ABS-CBN, SM Mall North Edsa, Magic 89.9, Predator Cues, Min Billiard Cloth, Puyat Sports, Philippines Star, Bugsy Promotions at kinikilala ng BMPAP at BSCP.

 Sa kabila ng determinasyon nina Amit at Rañola, umaasa pa rin ang dalawa na madaragdagan pa ng ibang Filipina ang lalahok sa main draw kasama ni mainstay Mar Basas.
