Stepping up for change

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -

To further emphasize the value of education, Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) recently took part in strengthening the education reform agenda of President Benigno Aquino III during a dialogue with global interest groups and organizations in New York City. The meeting, organized by Synergos Institute led by founder and chair Peggy Dulany Rockefeller and KCFI president Rina Lopez Bautista as facilitator, discussed participatory governance and use of people power to effect change.

Congratulations!

A night of pure Chopin music

With her love for the compelling music of the classical genius Frederic Francois Chopin, the affable Minerva Tanseco, together with Fanny Blanco and Monaco Consul General Fortune Ledesma as well as the members of the Inner Wheel Club of Manila (IWCM), held an intimate gathering called “Night of All Chopin Music.” The affair served as a thanksgiving event to all those who supported the group’s successful projects recently. Having a penchant for good music and an excellent taste in listening to classical repertoire, Minerva invited three notable contemporary artists — Cultural Center of the Philippines president Raul Sunico, statuesque pianist Ingrid Santamaria and Jonathan Coo — to play for a selected group of guests at the lavish Forbes Park residence of generous hosts Andy and Tereret Liboro. In partnership with the Asian Carmakers Corp. led by its president Bobby Rosales, the evening was filled with a lot of gratitude for the supporters of IWCM’s projects and appreciation for the captivating tunes made by Chopin. Congratulations to Minerva and her hardworking team for another remarkable achievement!

Wedding enticements at Dusit

An intricately designed Moroccan-themed event made by one of the country’s top wedding stylists Henry Pascual welcomed the men and women behind every beautiful wedding and event with the launch of Wedding Enticements at Dusit (W.E.D.), the hotel’s new loyalty program. The incentive program is directed towards Dusit Thani Manila’s wedding partners to present a passionate applause for all the wedding suppliers in the metro, from wedding planners and organizers, stylists, florists, photographers, fashion designers, hosts, makeup artists, printers, to lights and sounds suppliers, by providing a platform for them to stage their ingenuity through Dusit Thani Manila’s versatile venues at the same time recompense them with exciting rewards and privileges they truly deserve. A Middle Eastern buffet satisfied guests with a spread of aromatic and appetizing flavors. Some of the lucky guests even won loads of raffle prizes and each brought home a sweet treat from Vienna Cakes and their own personalized WED membership card. Congratulations to Philippine Hoteliers, Inc. president Gerhard Kropp and to Dusit Thani Manila’s GM Prateek Kumar!
