BDOF educates youth through financial literacy program

-

MANILA, Philippines - BDO Foundation joined SM Foundation, DepEd and the National Book Development Board in a Book Reading Day held in 40 SM Malls nationwide to celebrate the National Children’s Book Reading Day.

Around 60 BDO volunteers participated in the event as they read three different books complemented with a visual presentation to students from various public and private schools from ages six to nine years old. They paid special attention to a story “Isa, Dalawa, Tatlo, Mayroon akong Regalo,” a story of a young girl named Carlota who thought of ways to save money to buy her mother a birthday present. The volunteers emphasized on saving money and working hard at an early age through simple slides presentation and a question and answer portion.

MO Johanna Almendras of SM City Davao Branch explains to students money management.
