Baguio school gets new schoolbuilding from SM

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - As one of the companies that supports the government’s Adopt-A-School program, the SM Group of Companies through SM Foundation is continuously building new schoolhouses throughout the country.

Recently it turned over another schoolbuilding this time to the Irisan National High School in Baguio City. Like the typical blue schoolhouses the Foundation has turned over to other schools, the schoolbuilding is provided with desks, blackboards and toilet facilities. The Foundation undertakes the maintenance of the donated schoolbuildings to ensure that repairs required in the buildings are immediately attended to, thus keeping them in good condition.

Aside from turning over the schoolbuilding, books were also handed over to the school. These books were donated by mall shoppers, publishing companies and the Foundation during the Donate-A-Book campaign earlier this year. The turnover of the schoolhouse and books was timely and fitting gifts to the people of Baguio City which is celebrating its centennial year.
