An extraordinary legacy
The Marriott Grand Ballroom was full to celebrate Filipinos from various fields who have made extraordinary contributions to the industry and society, led by world-renowned Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco.
Cinco added another accolade under his belt as The Philippine Legacy Gala 2023 awarded him the Legacy Award of Excellence in Global Fashion. Aside from Cinco, the gala night also awarded fellow luminaries who have made their mark in their respective fields.
Other awardees were Sharon Cuneta, who took home the Legacy Award of Excellence in Music; Coco Martin, Legacy Award of Excellence in Television Entertainment; Ruffa Gutierrez, Legacy Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Entertainment Industry; Juan Ponce Enrile, who was given the Legacy Award with the Highest Distinction; Senator Bong Go, who received the Legacy Award of Excellence in Public Service; Mayor Josemarie L. Diaz, Legacy Award of Excellence in City Good Governance; Mayor Sheilah Lacuna-Pangan, Legacy Award of Excellence in City Legislation and Governance; Congresswoman Shernee Tan-Tambut, Legacy Award of Excellence in Cultural Heritage Protection; Shirley Halili-Cruz, who took home the Legacy Award of Excellence in Dance; Ann Ong, who got the Legacy Award of Excellence in Handcrafted Jewelry; Myrna Tang-Yao, Legacy Award of Excellence in Women Empowerment; Margarita “Tingting” Delos Reyes Cojuangco, who was given the Legacy Award of Excellence in Philanthropic Missions; and June Cheryl “Chaye” Cabal-Revilla, who received the Legacy Award of Excellence in Corporate Finance Management
During “The Philippine Legacy Gala 2023 – Michael Cinco: The Impalpable Dream of España,” Cinco presented his latest creations, consisting of 50 haute couture looks. The night was organized by Archie Tan and Albert Andrada and became more meaningful as it benefited The Philippine Missionari Della Fondazione di Carita, Inc. and the Gusi Peace Prize Foundation.
Sky dining
Take your dining experience to (literally) greater heights at the newly opened Z.Lounge. Located 45 stories above the busy streets of EDSA in Mandaluyong City, Z.Lounge offers a Private Sky Dining events venue for parties, birthdays, corporate activities, and other memorable celebrations. Their events menu can be tailor-made to suit your party with great food and dinner sets that can be customized for any occasion. Some of their specialties include the Three-Cheese Caldereta (which is a dip for their crispy pita bread), Smoked US Beef Belly Sisig, Asian BBQ Chicken Poppers, Grilled Chicken Teriyaki, and US Certified Angus Beef Ribeye. These can be served plated, family-style, or with a buffet setup depending on your preference. I really enjoyed the food here, together with several food writers and bloggers the night we went there!
Z.Lounge is also open during happy hour and dinner service for walk-in guests on Tuesdays to Sundays from 5:30 p.m. to 12 mn. Their rooftop bar offers specialty cocktails such as the Lychee Mojito, BU’s Sangria, and other spirits to accompany your business meetings or elegant dinner dates where you can have amazing views of the city.
