PAOCC: Trader, wife missing
MANILA, Philippines — An entrepreneur, his wife and their business partner have been missing since July after they went to Pasig City for a transaction in what authorities said could be a business deal gone wrong.
Henry Angelo Pantollana, 39, his wife Margie, 38, and Richard Cadiz, 30, were last seen in a sport utility vehicle (SUV) on July 6, Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) executive director Gilbert Cruz said at a press briefing yesterday.
The Pantollana couple’s family put up a reward of P300,000 for any information leading to their whereabouts.
Investigation showed that the couple, who are residents of Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, met with a man known only as Jeff at a condominium in Pasig for a transaction involving stem cell and beauty products as well as a branded wristwatch worth P20 million.
Closed-circuit television footage from the condominium showed the victims boarding the SUV allegedly after meeting with Jeff.
Cruz said the victims were supposed to have another business appointment with another man identified only as Jon. But they never returned home.
The PAOCC is coordinating with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Taguig police station and other police units looking into the case.
Based on CCTV footage obtained by the PAOCC, the couple’s vehicle was seen along Aguinaldo Highway in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, with a white van tailing them.
Cruz said there were suspicious withdrawals from Henry Angelo’s ATM account worth millions of pesos from July 15 to 21.
A relative of the Pantollanas said they reached out to Jeff for any information, but got no response.
